Corey Ritchie

Growing up, Corey was a major martial arts movie nerd, devouring the films of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Tony Jaa and many more. From those early days developed his two great passions in life; Movies and martial arts. An unstable, volatile, and often violent upbringing and abject poverty prevented him from pursuing those passions for many years.

Early adulthood brought little relief. Grinding away in one kitchen after another. Drowning in depression, anxiety, and desperately searching for a way out brought Corey to the brink of oblivion. However, he chose to keep going. A year later, he began pursuing his other lifelong passion.

Corey found Rogue Combat Club in September of 2021. He took one class and instantly knew this was where he was supposed to be. Muay Thai brought focus, discipline and an immeasurable confidence that carried off the mat. Most importantly, he found his Tribe. Corey could not ask to be a part of a better team of incredible people. From watching Kung Fu flicks to fighting himself; Corey entered the ring for the first time in 2023 and has been hunting opponent after opponent ever since.

He began coaching in the summer of 2024, seizing the chance to push himself outside of his comfort zone and become a leader in the community that has given him so much. Corey knows that it’s not about how you got knocked down but how you get up and continue the fight that matters most. Through coaching, Corey strives to instill this philosophy in all his students. No matter the odds against you or the obstacles before you; keep going, keep pushing, keep fighting.
