Why Rogue

Why Train BJJ at Rogue

Brazilian jiu-jitsu isn't just self-defense — it's one of the most efficient full-body workouts available. Students report burning fat, building lean, functional muscle, and developing a level of self-confidence that carries far beyond the mats. Our coaches — including Corde Meklas (10th Planet purple belt), Robert Farmer (10th Planet brown belt), Devin Roth, Colby Ross, and Joe Doliner — bring real competition mileage to every class, and our BJJ curriculum works for complete beginners and lifelong grapplers alike.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be flexible or athletic to start BJJ?
No. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is built on leverage and technique, not strength or flexibility — that's exactly why it works for beginners of every body type and fitness level.
Is BJJ at Rogue Combat Club gi or no-gi?
Our program is no-gi, following the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu system.
What should I wear to my first class?
Athletic clothes that allow full range of motion — shorts or leggings and a rash guard or t-shirt work well. We'll walk you through the rest at your free session.
