Cat Wityk
When Cat first came to Rogue Combat Club in 2018, she initially started in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. A survivor of domestic violence, she wanted to learn self-defense skills and gain confidence. After trying a Muay Thai class in 2021, she fell in love with the Art of Eight Limbs and dove in headfirst. Training at Rogue has given her the somatic awareness and athletic knowledge to heal her body, a sense of belonging, and lasting friendships.
Cat finally found an outlet to pay it forward to the community that gave her so much. In 2024, Coach Duece honored her progress with a Pra Jiad, and she began coaching a year later. As Rogue’s first female coach, she hopes to inspire others, especially women, neurodivergent folk, and those wrestling with their own traumas. No matter what you are up against, you can do it too!
As someone who had always thought herself more of a book nerd than an athlete, Cat believes in the Rogue Core value that you can achieve more than imagined possible with consistent effort. Her martial arts success is rooted in humbling consistency: staying committed to the long haul by putting in the work day after day, week after week. When you see her on the mats, come say howdy and nerd out with her about switching stances and footwork, mobility exercises for healing and recovery, and the battles we all face to keep showing up again and again.
